Team Concipio

Overview

Concipio is the annual b-plan competition organised by the Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur. The competition promises to bring about a fruitful transition in the regular placement culture of the institute with the introduction of Entrepreneurial avenues to the students. The competition is aimed to transform the raw ideas that are born in the institute into full fledged business models.

Concipio traces its roots back to the year 2005, when it was started under the visionary guidance of Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy (SRIC) and the Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur. During the same year, the competition saw the incubation of its first start-up, the P2 Power solutions. Since then, Concipio has adopted the role of shepherding ideas towards the path of entrepreneurial success.

Concipio will provide the teams with the "killer idea", the following resources crucial to successful entrepreneurship:

* Assistance in converting your ideas into an actual B-Plan.
* Funding for the enterprise through the Tech Venture fund being set up by IIT Kharagpur.
* Finding consortiums to Link up your products or service with.
* Networks of world-class entrepreneurs, investors, and potential partners.
* Mentorship by successful and seasoned professionals which include successful industrialist and alumni of IIT Kharagpur.
* Education in specific business planning skills as well as general entrepreneurial insight by the esteemed faculty of IIT Kharagpur.
* Content rich feedback on their business model from world class entrepreneurs, investors, and professional service providers on our judging Panel.
* Team-building opportunities to create a winning team of founders.
* Broad media exposure and PR buzz.

Rules and Regulations

* The competition is an in-house competition and participation is restricted to the students, alumni and faculty of IIT Kharagpur.
* There are no restrictions on the team size
* Participating teams should be ready for start up.
* For the first round of submission, the entries are to be submitted by email in pdf format.
* The Executive summary should not be of more than 700 words and should not include irrelevant data.
* After the first round of submission, 4 teams will be selected to undergo the mentorship process.
* The participants are required to make optimum utilization of the mentoring process so as to create an appropriately refined b-plan.

After the mentoring process, the final B-plan will be submitted to the judges via e-mail. The plan will be submitted in a PDF format. The submission will be carried out by the event managers after signing the non disclosure agreement.
The final presentation of the b-plan is on 10th November,2008.
